| Carl received his undergrad from SMU in 1977, and then pursued post grad work at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. During that time he spent 7 summers working as a mountain guide for Young Life. In 1979 he began his professional career, spending winters in Europe, shootng World Cup & Olympic skiing. His career has spanned most all aspects of photography, including editorial, commercial, corporate & stock work. Throughout his life, Carl's deep spiritual commitments, along with his love of family, adventure & the outdoors have been an essential influence in his work. Currently his undertakings involve a vareity of travel (including the 2010 Olympics for Sports Illustrated) as well as many pro bono projects that are dear to his heart. He also continues to pursue his passions for backcountry & nordic skiing, sea kayaking, sailing & epic cycling adventures. This website is a result of many requests to see Carl's imagery and offer print sales.
